Belmont Day Nursery

I used to work here briefly. Just after 2 days i swore id never take my child to a private nursey. The manager didn't even have a qualification in childcare at the time. They employ the absolute bare minimum of actual qualified staff. The rest are apprentices who are barely learning anything and you're taught absolutely nothing about how to handle the children and communicate with them. The young apprentices were working illegal hours for their age with not enough break time, i had this stopped. There's no cleaners employed here. The staff are the cleaners and cooks. It leaves one person minding a whole class whilst the other staff member is cleaning and preparing food. The food is atrocious. Its tinned soup every day, 1 biscuit. Literally prisoners get fed better. When you leave your child here they are being left with just two members of staff for the whole class and they are left out toys and that's it. They aren't taught nothing. As staff we are spending more time filling out child files. Health and safety paperwork, cleaning and preparing food.

My 2 year old daughter has attended Belmont nursey for one year. She has always been a shy kid but her social skills have drastically improved after attending the nursey. All of the staff were very kind and always kept me informed, special thanks to Shamima, Rahela, Sophie, Jyoti and Preet. Her language and communication skills got so much better after a few months of attending the nursery. She was always ready in the morning to got to nursery. The nursery manager Sam was always accommodating. I was sad to take her out from Belmont due to moving house as she was so well settled there. Thanks to everyone at Belmont.

We recently shifted from India and enrolled my son (2 year old) at Belmont daycare at the end of Oct 2022; it was quite difficult for him. He kept crying throughout his settling in sessions, but he was provided as many settling in sessions as he needed to get acclimatised. All the teachers at Belmont did their best (including learning words as per his language) for him to adjust to everything new. We can see the positive difference in him after he comes from daycare. Very thankful to everyone at Belmont daycare.

I absolutely adore this nursery. My 10 month old daughter has been attending Belmont nursery recently and she has made so much progress. She is so much more social and loves playing and interacting with kids. She is well looked after and showered with a lot of love and attention. The staff really care about the children and provide them the best experience they could. A big thank you to preet for always looking after my little one
