I recently visited my optician with my child and was appalled by the rude and disrespectful attitude of the woman working there. She was so unprofessional that my child does not want to go back ever again. She was very dismissive and seemed to be in a bad mood. She did not take the time to explain anything to us and was very dismissive when we asked questions. She was very condescending and made us feel very uncomfortable. Her attitude made us feel unwelcome and unwelcome in her store. I feel that this kind of behavior is unacceptable and I would not recommend this optician to anyone.

This is my regular opticians and I always get fantastic service here. Recently, when I had my eye test, I was supported by Amrit who helped me choose a frame and lens which best fit my needs. The whole team were brilliant and attentive throughout the process, even though they were clearly very busy.

Quite simply the worst customer service within the sector. Every single appointment I've been to with my child (who is S.E.N) has been 90 mins at an absolute minimum. The excuses are always the same....."we are short staffed" We turn up 5-10 mins early every time.....and this is the sequence 1. After 20-30 mins we are seen by initial junior consultant for some basic checks 2. Then after another 20-30 min wait the actual optician conducts the test, which in fairness has always been good. 3. Then depending on the result we are told to choose a frame, back in a queue we go another 20-30mins waiting for someone to speak to us and then try and sell all the add ons like light lens, anti scratch etc 4. Then we have to wait for the optician to sign this off, again another 10 min wait. I've always shown patience with the process but having see it not improve for over 7 visits I had to request my prescription and walk out last week as that visit was coming up to the 2 hour mark. Have since taken my child to vision express who managed to process everything a lot quicker. Everytime I made a booking with Boots I always informed them that my child is S.E.N and asked for appointments at sightly quieter times but quiet times don't exist in this branch as there aren't enough members of staff.
