Just happened across the village green whilst having a quick look around the church. Got chatting to a local guy who kindly told us all about the history of the buildings around the green. Fascinating to hear that during WW2 the Army were stationed in the Village hall along with the NAAFI in the slaughter house. Oh, and the huge peacock topiary at the front of Peacock House is slowly being bought back to its former glory by the current owner.. #ItsGoodToTalk
