Excellent programme , initially reluctant to make the leap into another career as I was working as a retail manager. Brookhouse enabled me to re-train as a gas engineer and get my ACS in around 6 months with training and a placement they organised for my portfolio. I was taken on by my placement and worked for them and another company over the next 18 months before I started my own business. I now have my own plumbing and heating business and can honestly say its the best career move i've ever made. It was all made possible with the aid of Brookhouse training who have been nothing but accommodating and helpful every step of the way. ........very professional team who gave me all the tools and training I needed to make the initial transition to starting a new career in plumbing and heating.

Classroom environment was toxic. They failed to provide me with anything like a suitable work placement then totally denied it and blamed me. Took them to court and yesterday the judge ordered them to pay me a full refund which in itself speaks volumes. I would seriously avoid and go elsewhere.

My experience at brookhouse was mixed ranging from excellent to average. I attend the weekend course, which for the amount of content of the course was perfect for me as it allows time to process the information. My teachers where Paul and Steve both where excellent in there own ways pual was highly technical in his knowledge and Steve was also very knowledgeable had his own way of making the information clear to understand. The facilities are excellent if not under utilised. The negative for me was one not been clear at the start about what I had paid for. I didn't find out till the first day of the course that fires and cookers where an additional charge for assesment which was a bit of a shock. I was expecting more from the plumbing element of the course I was expecting to remove and refit a bathroom suite but turned into a few days bending and Soldiering, class room theory and basic compresion connections. It was a simular experience with the boilers, my expectations were to remove and refit but this was not the case. My placement was ok but not what I expected as I spent a lot of the time labouring rather than been hands on with the tools but as this was in the middle of the pandemic I chalked up to there was a shortage of placements. Would I recommend brookhouse, based on my experience yes. but the centre does need to take a look at its short commings to get back to the standard it seem to hold in the past. they need to be more clear about what your paying for, vet there placements better as this was the main thing I paid to go there for. Address inconsistently between teachers mine where excellent but talking to other who also went to brookhouse they didn't get the same high standards as I did. My last words would be this if you have a placement lined up then shop around as brookhouse is not cheap. If you need the placement then go with brookhouse but until the pandemic is over don't believe everything will be perfect on your placement as there seems to be a large diffrence between placements
