The Hunsworth Brewers Fayre

Very disappointed, the one star goes for the very chilled out lady who found us somewhere to sit despite us booking and no table reserved. At ordering wasnt advised certain things not available with that choice, i mean who runs out of coleslaw Some of the food was cold, like not hit the microwave at all, food served sporadically and waiter behaving like he was on speed. Fish and chips ordered one with bread, bread came after food eaten including cold mushy peas. Ordered the kids range of 3 course meal, main came before starters, and again food cold, like the corn on cob, you know the vacuumed pack stuff, again not hit base at microwave (maybe buy more microwaves?!?) Anyway as we put in complaint, another table doing the same, as food served 10 mins ago to their table but no cutlery, i mean really? No excuse as in super busy because they werent, oh and lets finish this with NO GARLIC BREAD

It took 1- hour 20 mins to be served with our food we asked the waiter twice where was the food when the meal arrived it was the smallest chicken dinner I had ever seen chicken portion one tablespoon size of peas and carrots which was cooked raw it was supposed to be served with cabbage which they wasnt any 2 very small roast potatoes and one very small stuffing ball with gravy the meal was on a big plate and it wouldnt have filled a saucer plate size the staff waiter grinned as he brought our food we got the message we wont be back it was the worst food and service from anywhere we have ever been this place seems to have serious staffing and attitude problems.

I had the worse experience ever!! We had a reservation for 7pm! When placing the order, the staff discourage you from ordering. They said, there is a long wait and it can be up to 1 hour. They didnt just do this with us, they did it with everyone ordering. The cutlery at the table was covered in food. It was as it they didnt have it cleans properly. We explained we had the booking already placed with the premier inn so we have already pre paid. They continued to try and put us off. Finally when we got our order taken we sat down and had our drinks as we waited. A few drinks later, we hadnt got any food yet and it was getting to 8.30pm. We went up and mentioned that the food hadnt arrived yet. A bar manager came and took responsibility to tell us the order would be ready as soon as it can. The kitchen manager was hiding from sight the whole time. We went back to our table and waited again, while discussing with other tables about their over an hour wait with no communication from the staff. Tables that were in before us started getting their orders out and we had to go up again to ask when our order would be ready. They said it was being plated they are just waiting for a couple more items. It was now 9pm. A few minutes later the food came. No apologies, no explanation. A lot of the food was cold and one of the meals with chicken was burnt. The chicken was impossible to cut. The quality of the food was shocking. An employee came to the table and we explained the chicken, they didnt care. When a burger was ordered we asked could we get some red sauce. It never arrived. Dessert was also pre ordered. They brought the warm deserts first without any cutlery. They said they would bring it down. There was another 10 minutes that passed before the cold desserts and the cutlery came. The jam Roly poly was like play dough. The ice cream in the sundaes were like blocks of ice cream. The quality of the food was soo terrible. I regretted ever preordering. The staff didnt not care what the quality of food was like nor did they have any respect for the customer waiting. Not once did they apologise for the lack of service. We were glad to leave when it was over. When leaving we spoke to a couple who had been waiting a hour and a half and wish them lucked in getting their order. I doubt that they will be getting out of there before 11pm.

We had booked for 7pm and it took 2 hours for the food to come out. When did receive food, they were very poor quality. Staff were not really empathic about the wait. Had to complain several times to get food. If we had not prepaid with our room we would have got up and walked out.
