Having bought our new Motorhome, we had our first nights trial at Northwood, which isnt far from home. The hosts, Walter and Lisa were very welcoming and helpful. Walter guided us into our plot and helped us set up with fresh water and the electric hook up. The whole site is a credit to them. It is spotless. The site was very peaceful, so may not suit a rowdy crowd. Two minutes walk to one of the best Indian restaurants in the Ribble Valley, which is also a bonus.

Having just returned from a couple of nights at this site, here's my review. Ok, so like what everyone else does, we read all the 'not so positive' reviews first. Whilst most are reasonably relative, to be fair to the owners the 'extras' for electric and showers the proximity to the road are all mentioned on the website, so if you bother to do your homework there are no surprises when you visit. My personal view is In an era where we all need to be more environmentaly aware, the owners are to be commended on their brave approach to the electric not being free. You'll be less likely to waste it if you're paying for it. On the same thread, a site with separate bins for recycling is also to be commended. The location. As most have already mentioned is perfect to go exploring, bus stop right outside and two restaurants (Indian & Italian) literally within a stones throw, plenty of decent walks, again all of this is mentioned on their website, also there's lots of literature in the washroom. The site. The facilities whilst relatively new are impeccable. The owner Walter literally does not stop, ever present throughout the day, cleaning, gardening, greeting new arrivals. I witnessed him assisting an elderly couple who were having trouble with their tow car hitch and battery, jump straight in with help, support and advice, Superb customer service! To some up. Read the info on their website, ignore the unreasonable reviews and comments and You won't be disappointed. For us it's a definite Yes and 5 Stars all the way. 100% we will be returning. Bravo to the owners!!!
