Harriet's Couture Cakes

My wedding cake was from here. It tasted delicious, the design was just what we wanted and it was delivered to the venue without fuss or worry.

I was so looking forward to my sons christening back in March booked the cake the venue everything planning on having a group of 30 people attend, deposits paid everywhere. Then covid hit christening put on hold so left the deposit awaiting a new date. New date is for end of October got in contact with Harriet couture cakes but only having my son and his brothers and sister attend due to reduced numbers following restrictions I only wanted a cake for 10 people. On messaging Harriets Couture cakes was told that because I had put an order in for 30 people I had to have a cake for 30 people irrespective of the change of numbers plus a 5 increase in top due to covid. Harriets Courture cakes had a 25 deposit which would cover the cake size now required I can not justify the waste of food or bare to look at a large Christening cake when it isn't what I imagined my sons Christening to be like. Harriet's Courture cakes clearly does not take into consideration what the customer wants and will try to force you to have something you clearly don't need. I understand covid has hit everyone businesses and family's alike but as a company they should still take into consideration what the customer wants and the money they have already paid. My wishes for my sons Christening cake have not been granted I refuse to waste food when people struggle and I am so disappointed in this company.
