CL Broadgate Farm Broadgate Farm is off the beaten track which is exactly what we are looking for in a CL. Upon arrival we were immediately overwhelmed by the beauty of the location and the layout of the site itself. The site was empty so we were free to choose our pitch. No we weren't greeted on arrival but that suits us just fine! Everything was clear and obvious. The reception room held plenty of local information including maps of walks in the area. We did the Calder Valley walk from the site, about 12 miles in total. The CDP was more than adequate. Recycling facilities were good. Water was virtually adjacent to each pitch. Yes we could hear farm machinery but it was patently obvious that this a working farm with extremely hard working farmers! At 15 a night I can't understand why this site isn't full.... But that was to our gain.... Such peace in stunning surroundings.... We'll be back.
