We recently stayed at Low Wray national trust campsite. We found it to be one of the nicest sites that we have ever stayed on. The pitches were sited quite far apart with a choice of location styles, woodland, lakeside or mountain views. We had mountain views and woke up in the morning to the most amazing sights. The site was clean as well as beautiful, with a spotless, warm, well equipped shower and toilet block; there was more than one of these on site. Facilities are excellent the site having a well stocked shop, bike and canoe hire and the most amazing smoked pizza hut. Pizzas are cooked over Woodfire and are just delicious, the hut itself is styled to suit the woodland surroundings with areas to sit and eat. I wish we'd booked for longer but will definitely return! Romany style caravans and pods are also available.
