(Translated by Google) The farm house I stayed in in the Lake District of England last week. The house is very old, and the furniture is also old, but the hardworking hostess keeps the house clean, warm, comfortable, and well-tuned, and the details show the owner's thoughtfulness and care. Outside the window of the room is a small garden and hillside. When you open the window in the morning, you will be greeted by the fresh smell of green grass and the singing of birds. This is the owner's own home. The hostess takes care of the three guest rooms and the living room by herself. She cooks breakfast for the guests, cleans the room, sometimes takes care of her grandchildren and helps her husband with farm work. It's hard to imagine how capable and neat she must be to take care of everything in such an orderly manner, I really admire it! And in a place like the UK where breakfast is extremely monotonous (British friends please ignore or agree with this review ), the breakfast carefully prepared by the hostess for us is exquisite and delicious. This is the first time to stay in a farmhouse in a foreign country. In addition to the comfort, there is also a special joy, being able to chat with other guests at breakfast. During the three days of our stay, we had a great chat with the other two guests. They are all British natives. It is very interesting to understand each other's food, language, and cultural differences. A very different stay, a lovely English country life! (Original) farm house),

Would 100% recommend this BnB. Been coming here for over ten years and never dissapoints. We now stay in the self catering cottage as we share this amazing place with our 3 yr old daughter! Always made to feel welcome and after our recent visit Juring storm Arwen where we had no power for the week, Chris searched high and low to find a generator and Sheila helped cook and store our food!! Definitely gone above and beyond!!! Can't wait to go back next year!!

Can not recommend this place enough, in-between Ambleside and Hawkshead so transport needed to pop out for evening meals. Its part of a working farm with sheep and cattle owned by the national Trust, being one of the properties owned by Beatrix Potter and her husband. We have loved every second of our stay , breakfasts out of this world, tea and home made cake every afternoon when we've returned from our walk, a complimentary glass of Sherry every night If you love walking and the Lake district its perfect. Sheila could not have made us feel any more welcome, we've even enjoyed the company of the other guests who return year on year ,
