We stayed here for one night at the Easter weekend, 4 adults in 2 rooms. We drove to clacton and just some advice find the nearest car park first as there are double yellows and nowhere to stop outside the hotel entrance. On arrival the main reception is very impressive and decorated well, check in was easy enough too with no fuss. My wife and I had a room on the 1st floor and my son and his partner were also situated on the 1st floor there was an awful smell of sewage as we went into the main corridor landing. We are not sure what the issue was or is but this was reported as it was terrible. Both rooms were really well decorated and fresh and modern looking, the only problem with my sons room (124) it is opposite the night club and the original single glazed windows do little for the noise from the club until it shuts at around 2-30am, if you want a good sleep make sure your room when booked is not on that side of the hotel. Breakfast was included and is served in the adjoining restaurant, we got down for breakfast at around 10am and after a 40 minute wait and wrong orders on all our breakfasts we ate it and it was very pleasant even with the constant mistakes with our orders. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating during our stay but I really do advise check where your room is situated regarding the night club. Overall I would advise this hotel even with the few issues we had when we stayed, it is situated right opposite the pier and all of the amusements so it is ideal for a future stay. Hopefully they sort the issue with the sewage smells in the near future.

Absolutely lovely hotel, we visited for one night and booked another visit before we even checked out. Lorenzo on reception couldn't of been more helpful, he was so friendly when he checked us in and so helpful throughout our stay, we asked for extra towels and he brought them up straight away. The room including communal areas were clean, tidy, modern and well thought out. Really conveniently positioned directly opposite pier entrance with a pay and display car park behind. The only negative points about our stay which are no reflection on the hotel itself, the car park spaces are very narrow which made getting in and out the car a bit difficult and the rooms are above a pub and next to night time venues which did make it very noisy, but this can't be helped and is no reflection on our hotel or our stay. Would highly recommend.
