The Crown

I came here for a quick drink on a pleasant day. It has outside space and a decent selection of drinks, which is what I was after. Worth noting that outside tables get occupied quickly one fine days.

I'm writing this review approximately one week after our visit to Cirencester. We had a brief stay at an Air BnB in Bibury, a short distance away and came to Cirencester to visit the Saturday market and see what the village had to offer. Lunch became the issue and we found ourselves outside the Crown pub and decided to try it out. The pub was quite full naturally at lunchtime and we were 4 adults and a baby but the staff managed to find us a cozy corner and provided a high chair for the the bairn. The libations were excellent and the food was superb. The Steak and Ale pie was the best I've ever sampled in my 73 years and from all accounts, the rest of our group were very happy with their choices. The staff were all switched on and friendly and strived to make ours a pleasant visit. Top marks!
