        We visited on Saturday and purchased a Christmas card for Mum. Like most people, we imagine, we look at the back of the card or pricing chart and decide (a) if the card is worth it and (b) if that is a price we are willing to pay. When we got to the till we were charged 4.99, so a bit puzzled we stopped and had a coffee and reassured ourselves the card was priced at 3.50 on the back. We thought 1.49 was worth going back for, and was promptly told by the young assistant that the barcode said it was now priced at 4.99. That is some level of inflation ! Needless to say we will not be going back.
