I've stayed here several times over the years and it's been a real treat every single time. The location is absolutely stunning - set amongst a lovely garden, the building itself (which is hundreds of years old!) is bursting with character. Tonnes of antiques and authentic rustic furniture in every cosy and crooked room. Hosts are two of the most genuine people I've met - Chris and Margaret are exceptionally accomodating and no request is too silly or small (plus Barty is a great dog, need to come back to meet Tipper!). If you're visiting Alton Towers, then I'd strongly suggest staying here if possible - it's a very nice experience and it's only a short 10min drive to the park (or a 30min walk through the woods if you're feeling adventurous). Honestly I couldn't recommend the farm enough - had many excellent trips here and I can't wait to come again at some point. -Morgan

Where to start. What a wonderful wonderful place to stay. The farmhouse dates back to the 1700s and is full of superb antique furniture. Our bedroom had a four poster bed which was so comfortable. Very spacious with a large en suite bathroom. You have so much space and can use the lounge whenever you feel like it. There garden has to be seen to be believed. If you love gardens, flowers trees etc then this is the place for you. We walked around it a few times and just kept finding more and more each time. So many places to sit and take in the superb scenery. It is like a picture postcard. Breakfast is very special. You certainly won't need lunch. Just try that fried bread. The sausages are probably the best we have ever had. The breakfast room is laid out to the style of the house with a large table that is so beautiful to eat from. I have saved the best until last. The hosts. Margaret and Chris. You are made to feel so welcome. They love to chat and believe me Chris has some great stories to tell. He made us laugh throughout our stay and Margaret was so kind to give my wife some cuttings of a plant she admired. I cannot recommend this b and b highly enough. Thank you so much for a truly pleasurable stay. Simon and Kim.
