This was the perfect place to stay! My son and I were in town to go to Alton Towers, which was a short taxi ride away. Jo and Steve were so kind and welcoming. They provided us with travel info and helpful hints ahead of our trip. The breakfast was delicious-we loved the oatcakes! The room was very comfortable and well decorated. Thank you so much for a memorable get-away!

I can echo what has been said before, immaculately clean room, great breakfast, idyllic location and 5 minutes away from Alton Towers, which is a MUST at the end of the day. Jo and Steve went beyond when they offered to help find my daughter's phone that she dropped in the overgrown nearby river bank. Steve jumped in, got ants all over him and searched for 30 minutes. Nothing is too much trouble. If you like a good chat, Jo is your person!!! Thank you! UPDATE... Today I got a call from Jo and Steve advising they had gone down to remove some overgrowth and found my daughter's phone!! ... sending it to me. Definitely caring people and a 5* service all the way. Thank you again !

An excellent weekend here at the beehive. Jo was a wonderful host. Very informative about Alton Towers. Its the perfect location for a visit. Very clean and spacious rooms I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Alton Towers. Breakfast was delicious Didn't want to leave . Beautiful spot and location
