appointment ! you now have to fill out an online form that will be assessed should in theory hear back within 24hours but member of staff told me more like 2/3 days there will be serious consequences as not everyone can access these forms they just give up

I require a simple referral to a surgeon at Southmead Hospital who spoke to me promptly, timely and courteously after surgery. I have a complication and the surgeon is well aware of what the problem is. I need a simple referral, trying to get this from mendip vale has been impossible because of e' consult which they do not respond to at the time they agree.

This practice is now far too big, far too impersonal, and far too difficult to access. We have the odd positive experience, depending on which practitioner you get, and the Pudding Pie Lane Covid vaccination programme was very well run; but these are vanishingly rare encounters. The latest disappointment was that, having gone into the surgery in person, I was told I could not book an appointment with a GP but had to use the eConsult service. Firstly, this is an unnecessarily convoluted and frustrating process. Secondly, why am I denied the opportunity to have a say in which practitioner I share potentially sensitive issues with? Wed move to a different surgery if we could, but Mendip Vale seems to have taken over all the surgeries across the whole area.

If this practice was in the private sector it would have been closed down. Our family are hardly ever ill. In the last 3 months we have needed to see a doctor 3 times and on each occasion it was impossible, despite calling at 8am. We are moving elsewhere.
