Huxley loves his lesson with Tom. Tom is an excellent teacher and encourages him to not only practice but to listen to other music to help him expand his musical abilities. Huge thanks to both Tom & Ali for this brilliant opportunity.

Excellent place to learn to play music with fun teacher's, engaging music the kids know, different styles of playing. It's a great space and well set up. The lessons are a great amount of time and communication is excellent including reminders and an email after each lesson with notes on what to practice. Great supportive and fun community atmosphere. My husband and I are very tempted to start some lessons ourselves. Kids can't have all the fun, right?!

Alison is obviously a passionate and talented musician and this, combined with her amazing way with children made her a natural choice when I was searching for a music teacher for my children. Annie had tried other music lessons, but had come away uninspired due to the dated material being used, and no communication coming home. We have been with Alison for well over a year now, and Annie loves the piano and the music (playing & writing) books that Alison provides! She is now also playing the 'toot' as well. What I love about Alison is that she knows how to adapt her lesson if something isn't quite clicking with her pupil. Sometimes young children can throw a curveball in terms of their mood but Alison is unflappable and will try a different tact without them even noticing! She is friendly and very supportive to parents. Her feedback after every lesson is fantastic, and keeps us up to date with what progress is being made. My 4 year old has now also started piano and finds it really fun. I would 110% recommend Alison, and the Long Mynd Music Academy to any parent looking for a music teacher for their children.
