Not what I expected. The base of my head is stinging where the hairdresser was careless with straighteners. Also asked to pay surcharge of 30 rather than 25 for longer hair surcharge on top of the group on voucher.

Sheba and her colleague were amazing today. They started the Brazilian treatment on time and finished it without any delays. They did an excellent job and took so much pride in their work. The finish was really smooth, tidy and consistent. I previously did my keratin treatment in Covent Garden a few times but will be switching to Sheba! Thank you!!!!! Sheba is friendly but incompetent. There is no consistency of service. On my first visit to the salon there were no major issues, though I noticed a strange blow dry technique which took longer than most salons I have been to. Second visit two weeks later was a fiasco. I left the salon with hair that is greasy to the touch. My hand is covered in oily residue every time I touch it. Despite telling Sheba that I would be getting it braided she added her own concoction of oils and butters and seems to have added far too much. I have also had my first experience of leaving a salon with more knots in my hair than when I arrived. Clearly there was inadequate detangling as evidenced by the many knots of hair which have come out when I combed my hair with a wide tooth comb. Sheba used an strange brow drying technique of using a blow dryer without a nozzle to direct the air used a blow dryer with no nozzle and a round boar bristle brush, which is not a detangling brush that should be used on Afro hair when blow drying it from wet to dry. It obviously did not result in a smooth result. Maybe she was rushing because she was attempting to take a walk in client. After spending two hours at the salon and paying for this service I had to wash my hair the next day because it was a greasy, knotted mess. Save your money and time - dont book with this salon. I got this Keratin treatment one month ago. It was advertised as a Brazilian blow dry, however the latter contains or produces an extremely dangerous chemical called Formaldehyde. The chemical was applied and then my hair was dried and straightened. After 5-6 days, I washed my hair and it was no longer poker straight but it was easier to straight. However the frizz and dryness was back immediately after 1 wash. I'm trying not to be objective with this review because I'm writing it to be informative only. So I won't tell you what I believe, just what happened then. My hair was greasy, incredibly greasy, immediately after washing, it was heavy, waxy. I like my hair to feel clean after washing and dry naturally. However it was clumping together so I decided to blow dry it straight. The next 2-3 weeks my scalp was COVERED in huge flakes of dandruff (still very waxy and greasy and heavy to feel) didn't look good at all. The length of the hair was also porous and even more dry than before and visibly bleach damage, prior to the treatment I could get away with it. But following the treatment the ends were INCREDIBLY DRY. I tried to wash the flaking out during my next wash (I only wash my hair every 4 days), to no avail. At a point, I panicked rang Sheba and to be honest, she's a sweet lady but she was on the offence, I kept a friendly tone with her and told her not to worry, I wasn't complaining just seeking resolution but she was very defensive, cutting me off, speaking over me, not allowing me to vocalise my concerns, I told her that there were many reviews with the exact same experience as me. She said they were lying and never even turned up to the appointment. I appreciate she's looking after her business and I wish her all the best. However the verdict is, this treatment may be suitable for afro hair only, because I believe some afro hair ladies want that weight to hold their hair down and make it easier to style, it's perhaps suited to that hair texture. It's been just over a month now and the pics below are from today, I can't show you how my hair feels (waxy and horrible) to the touch but I can ask that you zoom in and look at the roots, they are visibly waxy and greasy and nasty, this is completely dry hair. My hair is not soft, it's not silky, it's not straight, it just straightens easier that's all and I do feel this is miss selling but God knows best. If this was explained to me at pos I would never have gone for it. My hair is falling out in clumps also and I can see the little follicle/root at the top which indicates its because of the weight of the waxy product. I wanted to know what to do when I rang Sheba weeks ago, but she did tell me to drive to the salon and she'll see what she can do but unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with what she had said because she wasn't willing to accept ANY responsibility so my concern was, if I drive an hour and half into London during or after Ramadan, she could just tell me its fine or wash and dry my hair and send me packing. I don't think there is a resolution to this, id just advise that If you're not used to having waxy substances in your hair and like a clean look don't get this. It shouldn't be for coloured hair either and it's completely stripped any moisture from the bleached parts. I really really Hope this review helps!!! Service: Brazilian hair straightening
