This Turkish market, i think is the perfect antidote to large chains purely by dint of its range and variety of products. The flavour is distinctly international and takes you on a journey from Western Europe, across Europe, deftly swerving into Middle Eastern bazaars and aromas and deposits you, all shaken and stirred with the joy of foodie treasures, firmly in the laps of South East Asian and Chinese flavours. Prices are decent, if hard to compare as a lot of the products are not available elsewhere, locally at least. The in-house butcher is clean, courteous and professional. Prices are decent. Butchery is good - the use a bandsaw which stops splinters of bone appearing in the diced lamb is not rare as most Asian butchers have them but still not available in more traditional butchers, who use saws and cleavers. Fruit and vegetables selections is very good and diverse. Staff are very helpful, polite and cheerful. Highly recommend a visit.
