The Slug & Lettuce

The drinks were great as usual. Great selection and great value for money. But the food was a little mediocre and heavy. Had the afternoon tea and the clotted cream smelled of cheese - not a good sign. The sandwiches were worse than a supermarkets sandwiches. The bread was going stale and the cheese tasted like plastic. The chicken also tasted burnt. Would go back here for drinks but not afternoon tea.

I was slighly underwhelmed with the portion size in regard to my meal, but it was a pleasant environment and staff were pleasant and helpful.

Staff is very attentive and great but a lot of items on the menu were out of stock, hence 3 stars. App could include check out as a guest. Nice music throughout our stay and we have been in for 5 hours. Food decent enough but only had salads.
