Wow, I can't believe I've waited so long to visit here. Proper pub food (locally sourced and fresh veg etc) Advise you book for Sunday lunch as its packed. Lovely heated outside area with booths, huts and an igloo. Food is amazing, fresh, tasty, hot and obviously not frozen rubbish! The large portions will be needed if you've had a nice walk over the common or around the beautiful chess valley nearby. Doggy friends allowed outside. Recommend the Sunday lunch, the burger, the stcky toffee pud,... I could go on... Oh yes, the halloumi sticks too! Will bw back soon!
