I chose to put the datatool stealth to my BMW1250 GS. I payed for two years subscription to the company. I parked my bike in central London with chain, disclocks and the tracker. In one minute after I received the notification of the tracker, the tracker has been removed from my bike and the bike was stolen. Unfortunately is completely useless. Invest your money in a good insurance.

I've only ever had two bikes with alarms, both of them datatool and both of them awful. They were on the bikes when I bought them and destroyed the battery in a matter of months. The draw was so much that they would go flat within 3 days, they wouldn't even give me a solid week so I could top it up on the weekends. The alarm would go off regularly but inconsistently and the kicker is that on the bike that actually did get stolen the friggin datatool didn't even make a peep.

Had a disappointing experience but perhaps they will sort for me. More later. . Turns out they did help and I was particularly impressed with Mr Hayes who always returns calls. My faulty alarm was replaced free of charge as it was under their 3 year guarantee. So credit where credit is due. I have had several alarms from this company over the years and will continue buy from them in the future.

A complete waste of time and money. Alarm/notification goes off when the bike is stationary and even when I myself am riding it. Save the money and buy an extra lock!! Customer service is very prompt and polite, but that does not make up for the product/service.
