Visited The Mint late this evening with my husband and one of my daughters after a busy day out and about being a bank holiday! I can honestly say my faith has been restored after an absence of about 5 years following a bad Christmas Day lunch. Our Christmas Day was ruined!! Tonights food was delicious- service excellent and all together a good end to a perfect day! Its rare to be blown away when you ask for food- 30 minutes before a kitchen closes and what appears in front of you is freshly cooked, piping hot not microwaved and was like home cooking! 10/10 from us! Would definitely recommend and adding back on the list of venues to re visit! Just shows what a change of management, chefs and front of house staff can do! Waitress- amazing- didnt ask her name but extremely helpful, friendly without being over the top!! Well done The Mint!!

No cutlery on table when starters arrived, items missing from both dishes when mains brought, waited another 10 minutes for main to be remade in the time partner had finished her main. Waited a long time for table to then be cleared, waited another 10 minutes for drinks to be made and another 5 minutes (15 total) for a small premade torte to be made for dessert. And finally, when bill ordered waited another 10 minutes when no tables left in restaurant to pay, so had to get up to pay so we could leave. Terrible.
