Was very disappointed that just 1 working day before my grandchild was due to attend October's half term camp- it was cancelled due to low uptake! Surely this was known sooner than the Friday before a Monday start! As such, I had to cancel my plans to support with childcare. No or slow email responses and no refund as yet for the cancelled week. Will not trust this company again unfortunately :(

I really hate writing bad reviews as companies and people get things wrong on occasion and I always felt it unfair to write an awful review that sits online forever, however I'm deeply unhappy and have given Mavericks so many opportunities to resolve this issue., As far as a day camp goes it was okay, my son who was 3 at the time didn't enjoy it. It did seem a bit clumsy in its running but in general everyone seemed okay and I had no issues with what I saw in regards to safeguarding and its location was so convenient for my work. I've since used a more established camp provider that my son loved and so now I have something to compare Mavericks too I would say its worth looking around at other camps in the local area. So my complaint.... I used Childcare vouchers to pay, at the end of summer I'd overpaid them in vouchers, I spoke to Jessica at pick up and we made an agreement that I would use them in the October half term. To be honest I didnt really want to as my son didn't enjoy it but thought this might be the easiest option all round rather than try and get the vouchers back and maybe after a term at school he might not be so upset when I dropped him off. Towards the middle of September I started to check the website in order to book for October but nothing came up? I called and emailed and got no response. I then received a email invoice saying that I owed them money from the summer which was incorrect, I tried contacting them again and after many emails and then calling numerous times over many weeks I finally got Jessica on the phone. By this point I had made alternative plans for my son during October Half term. Jessica assured me that she would speak to her lady that deals with the vouchers and would sort this out and get straight back to me. Since then I've heard nothing, no response to Phone calls or voicemails, no reply to emails and I've sent many! I've noticed they've changed the website and email address so I wonder if they've treated other families this way. I've involved the Childcare voucher company who have tried to contact them with no luck. I'm now looking into debt collection agency to see if they can help recover the vouchers. I am reporting them to the school they use for the camp as I just find this disgusting. I work hard and have been left out of pocket of 180 having to pay for childcare that these vouchers should have covered. So please bear this in mind when choosing this company to provide your childcare. As another review has said the communication is terrible so for me I wouldn't leave my child in their care ever again.
