Counting Sheep Shepherd's Hut

I stayed in the Counting Sheep Shepherds Hut for two nights in June. We booked it on a whim as weather was so nice I wanted to extend my holiday and wasn't sure what to expect. What I found was a perfect little hut surrounded by breathtaking Somerset scenery. I am so glad we took the plunge and booked it! Our host Karen was very generous, the lovely breakfast left for us with croissants and strawberries local honey was a joy to wake up and enjoy it with the stunning views. It seems that every little detail about the hut had been thought of. The 'kitchen' area was stocked with everything you might need. The wood burner was filled with wood and kindling so that we only needed to light a match to get the fire going not that we used it as the weather was fantastic. The bed was comfy clean and cosy. I enjoyed every minute! I spent a lot of time just taking in the view (using the binoculars supplied!) and watching the sheep in the field and the birds. The compost toilet was interesting but perfectly fine once you got used to it and I loved the outside shower hut was lovely and plenty of hot water. I didn't want to leave and would recommend this hidden gem to anyone Enjoy
