If you need reminding how good retail used to be before corporate managers took it over, look no further than Cousin Normans. The best food out there (somewhere between Harts Bakery and Ottolenghi if you pushed me for a category), alongside great local cards and gifts, laundry refills, uniform swaps and a constantly changing stock of magical, cool things. Cina is everything youd want a shop-keeper to be: full of humour, never-ending vitality and a sharp line in local knowledge. Youll always feel better having visited - even if youre just picking up one of their fantastic takeaway coffees. I thoroughly recommend!

Cousin Norman's has got a little bit of everything! The sandwiches are amazing (I had a fig and goat's cheese one the other day, oh my gosh and golly!!), the coffee is amazing, the staff are amazing! You might go in looking for a badge for your sister's birthday and come out with said badge, plus a skull printed parasol, a Tony's advent calendar and a tiny rucksack for your toddler! It's the kind of place that you go into without a clue what you're going to get, and you just have to let the shop decide what you're going to buy Edited to add: I forgot about the refill station! Take your bottles and refill em. Reduce plastic waste AND save yourself a few pennies. And there's also the swaps - like school uniform swaps, and Halloween costume swaps. They've thought of everything
