Rosewood Stud

We had high hopes for this park but it wasnt all that we thought it would be. Location for this park is stunning, views from decking and hot tub are nice and you do not feel overlooked. Could be a lovely relaxing break if it wasnt for the fact that the venue hosts weddings/events directly outside your accommodation.We booked via a 3rd party and there was no mention of this and ended up only staying 1 night. This was very disappointing for our young children who had been excited for their weekend away with the horses! I guess if you are staying on a weekend over the summer months be prepared for it to be really really loud - music and flow of traffic!! Accommodation could do with some serious TLC for something that is sold as luxury accommodation. Lack of empathy from the owner of the park was what really miffed us in the end. Would not stay here again and would certainly not recommend on that basis as he is clearly only in it for the money.

Nobody available to answer phone when calling Rosewood, nobody to greet you on arrival, we were locked outside of the private gates where one of the residents had to give us access we then had to try and guess which chalet was ours and sleep in it with no keys to lock the door. No running water....could not shower never mind use the hot tub and were told by Nigel the maintenance guy that this was the norm???? We left for a better destination after only stopping for one night as it was too late to change destination. DO NOT BOOK as there are 100% better options.

Absolute disgrace, place was dirty, falling to pieces, fridge was busted, blind missing in bathroom, windows filthy, decking falling to pieces, no view of lake as its so overgrown, emergency number switched off, staff lie when they say they will put problems right, insects burrowing into bathroom, the list goes on and photos on website are sooo out of date, spend your money elsewhere

Had a wonderful weekend at Rosewood Stud, this is my second visit in the last few years. No idea why people have left such horrible comments, clearly not used to the countryside. One mentions there was nothing to do... it's a farm not a funfair... Anyway, the scenic walks and horses on site are beautiful and the lake is stunning. Our accommodation was lovely and we spent the whole evening sat in the hot tub chatting and enjoying the peaceful evening. When we arrived we had a box of tea coffee, fruit, milk and bread. The lodge was spotless. Completely recommend for a romantic getaway or trip with friends, very competitively priced and I will definitely be returning :)

Lovely site with great potential. Easy check in a phone call. Lodge ready on arrival as instructed on phone. Fairly compact with just 9 lodges. Each over looking a large pond with fountain. Each lodge has own car parking adjacent. We had a dog friendly lodge which had a secure gate from. The decked area allowing the dog to be off lead whilst on decking. Nice short walk around the site next to pond. Generally clean inside the lodge but needs a good scrub in behind sofa cushions, shower and venitian blinds etc. But bedding spotless. We stayed in the 6 person lodge room 1 is a double and advertised as ensuite but it only has a toilet and basin not a shower unfortunately. The 2nd bedroom is two caravan style singles which we put together and small wardrobe. The third bedroom is much too small, not room for a wardrobe. Wouldn't return as not the best place we've stayed but we still had a nice weekend.
