Barchester - Hempton Field Care Home

My mum has been at Hempton field care home for over a year, staff have always been very helpful and informative especially through the difficult periods such as covid. The home its self seems to be well run clean and warm, and mum has settled well and enjoys the company of other residents. A special shout out for Lisa who is an asset to her employers, and always cheerful and helpful and Her communication with mum.

The staff at Hempton are excellent!! They took amazing care of our Dad when he needed respite care and kept us well informed as we don't live in the area.

I am an entertainer and regular sing in care homes in Edinburgh where I am now based. Whilst visiting family in Chinnor I played a show for the residents at Hempton Field and it was lovely. Beautiful home with stunning grounds and very friendly staff. I very much hope to play for the lovely residents again next time I am visiting.

My sister was at Hempton Field Care Home for the last six months of her life. We could not have been happier with the way she was cared for. Her room overlooking the garden was spotless. All the staff were professional, caring and courteous and made us feel welcome. The fact that she was so well cared for and obviously at peace made these difficult months so much easier for us all.

Hempton Field is a lovely care home with extremely caring, attentive staff. It is a very pleasant environment, with lovely lounges, dining room and beautiful gardens, including an inner courtyard where residents who are interested are encouraged to nurture the beds and displays they helped create. I am often aware when visiting of well-organised, fun games and activities which lots of residents enjoy taking part in or watching. There's plenty of opportunity to socialise or just sit with others, but equally there's no pressure if residents prefer quiet days in their rooms. Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff, and the food is excellent, with chef keen to find out any particular preferences or favourites. As always, it's the people who really make a place, and the staff at Hempton are wonderful. It has a family feel to it, is well-run, and I would highly recommend.
