Windmills in England are relatively rare, at least those in good condition! I came across this wonderful 'working' windmill while walking in Chinnor. It has an amazing history. Built in 1789, it fell in disuse in 1929 and was abandoned, till it rose like a phoenix in 2011 thanks to the efforts of the local villagers. The volunteers of Chinnor keep it in good repair and have been trying painstakingly to bring it back to life. It's open to visitors on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. Enjoy the peep inside!
