Chingford & South Woodford Delivery Office

Management seems to be in a shambles here. Posties are laden but mail, especially small packages, don't seem to be getting through. P.O. message says parcel being delivered Monday but now Wednesday - where is it? Live pet food should have arrived Saturday, no sign. What's going on? Posties rounds seem to be too long. Our road seems to have been missed on many occasions during the last three weeks, so come on management, manage. Two weeks on - just heard the P.O. is hiking the price of 1st class letters by a whopping 9p, the second rise in a year. With the volume of parcels up and letter and small parcel deliveries at an all time low can only feel that greed is at the heart of this one time great institution. If this continues then customers will move to other delivery companies. Yesterday the postman delivered post to one side of the road (he called at most houses so it was not all timed post) then walked up the other side not delivering anything. What's that all about? May 2021, credit where it's due, deliveries seem to be back to normal but it took a long time. With record profits and record price hikes there's still a long way to go to compete with couriers on small parcels both on service and price. Well, we're now into 2023 and the Chingford sorting office still seems to be a shambles. Daily deliveries seem to be a thing of the past but, having said that, we had three separate deliveries one day last week - a small parcel in the morning, letters at lunchtime and a second small parcel in the afternoon. Is that efficient use of man-power? Does anyone in authority at the Post Office read these posts? If yes, how about the courtesy of a response? You may be privatised but you are still supposed to provide a service to the public.

Royal Mail is a joke, they have quite literally never delivered a parcel that couldnt fit through my letterbox in a year of living here, and every time Ive had to come all the way to chingford to get it. Exceptionally lazy delivery drivers, sooner they get put out of business the better.

I have arranged re delivery 3 times of a parcel which needs a signature for it since the first week of December. Not delivered on any occasion. Still no joy, I can't even collect it from the sorting office as they are never open. Now reached the 18 days when the card states they will return the parcel if not delivered or collected. Dreadful service. Only gave 1 star as I couldn't leave this review without giving it the star.

How is the Royal Mail still in business the service is abysmal. A parcel was said to have been delivered (on the RM tracker) to me when I was out and can prove where I was. On the seller's website it is the next day. Trying to get through to the delivery office by phone is impossible. I cannot go to there myself until tomorrow (11 November 2022) because guess what...I'm waiting for Royal Mail to collect a parcel for return. Why Amazon have chosen to use Royal Mail for this I cannot fathom because it was delivered by an alternative delivery service? And, if Royal Mail is the preferred choice why not allow me to take to the post office where I can get a receipt?
