I contacted this organisation because I had 2 gift cards from them. Because the garden centre I use dont accept them I wanted paper versions of them because 1 didnt have 12 months left they wouldnt send me one and then the other one they would but it had to be sent out by post they couldnt email it, really in this day and age. I am upset that given the state this country has been in and in fact still is I have lost 40 voucher. Considering garden centres were closed during the pandemic you would have thought theyd be a bit more flexible.

Called their HO today as I had found some gift vouchers belonging to my mother who sadly passed away towards the end of last year. The vouchers had been put away in a drawer so I have only just found these and therefore the expiry date has now been passed. I was informed by the garden centre issuing the vouchers these could been exchanged or the date altered, but on phoning the HTA I was informed this is not the case. I must admit I am somewhat disappointed and surprised as they would have already received the money for the vouchers and given the circumstances. I would have thought they would have made some allowance or had some measures in place to deal with such circumstances, but clearly not. So please bear in mind if you are thinking of giving gift vouchers to an elderly relative/person this is not always a good idea as the above demonstrates, so you may want to consider giving cash if your circumstances are similar or you/they could lose the benefit.
