Brilliant shop and staff called in today to get a new fish tank and they are the most helpful people you could possibly meet. The prices are very competitive and you can see what you are buying ,far better than online. Can not recommend enough

Saddens me to leave this review as Chilton aquatics was one of my favourite places to buy fish and aquarium related things from. So January 16th 2023 I purchased 5 gardneri Killifish (mail order) for 37.50 and a further 5 blue pearl killifish for 50 on the 10th of February 2023 the worst part about this is that they give you the fish immediately after being delivered not quarantining them and within 2 weeks of the second purchase all of them except 1 had died with blue pearls going first. I called them up and calmly explained the situation and they said bring the water in and well sort it so I did and upon testing my water they used the inaccurate API test strips and claimed my PH was 6 and refused to do anything although admitted the liquid tests are more accurate. After not getting anywhere we took the water to another licensed aquarium shop because he said my test kit may have expired (they dont only by the date on the bottle) anyway they tested the water and not to my surprise it tested exactly 7.0 and everything was fine. I loved this shop and spent hundreds of pounds spanning about 2 years but I dont think Ill be making a purchase there anytime soon. Other things to note the tanks are a bit dirty now and dead fish can be spotted quite frequently. If the owner is reading this put the passion back into the business it use to be a nice warm and welcoming place that you would be excited to visit choosing fish for your aquarium. Now it just seems like theyre trying to just survive but lying to your customers isnt the way to go about it.
