Millbrook House

I am a Newly appointed Deputy manager and joined the team in December. The manager is so supportive and provides encouragement and guidance all the time. We have been Covid free throughout the pandemic, this in itself is incredible. Gini and all her staff have protected everyone, this is such a caring homely home. Gini has made the pandemic feel comfortable and safe and still person centred in every way. Residents of course miss their families but, Skype, facetime and pod visits have been introduced and these are still encouraged. Janeth the Head of Care has gone to boundaries that others would not. During the first lockdown Janeth went out if her way to make sure hairdresser appointments where not missed. Taking the residents to our in house hairdressers salon and complete this herself, cutting and styling the residents hair. Chiropody appointments still continue with the expert knowledge that Janeth has. Finger nails are polished and this still goes on. Simple dressings are being attended to in the home to reduce the foot fall in the home. All the time the residents are looked after to the highest quality. What an amazing home this is and I feel part of a special family, that I have been welcomed into.

A fantastic building with beautiful grounds, superbly clean and maintained. A fabulous standard of care with exceptional, friendly staff. Great food and full entertainments program.

We recently completed training for the staff at Millbrook House, and the staff team were incredibly passionate about care delivery, wanting to learn more at each session and develop their person-centred skills . All the staff were polite and courtesy to the people they supported and went above and beyond in understanding the needs of people and what works best for them, whilst keeping them safe and happy. Congratulations to Molly and team!

I had the pleasure of providing magic entertainment at the Millbrook House Xmas Party and I thought the atmosphere created by the attentive staff was excellent, and the residents seemed very relaxed and happy. There was a lovely rapport between the staff and the residents too which was great to see.
