Rooms: Clean, stylishly furnished with luxurious bedding. Nearby activities: For children, an extensive choice of indoor and outdoor activities in a safe environment around the cottages. Great choice of beaches just a few minutes away by car as well as excellent museums at Bovington and the Dorset Museum in Dorchester. Safety: Around the cottages the children had freedom in a safe environment. Food & drinks: N/A Noteworthy details: The cottages are situated in a haven of peace in beautiful Dorset countryside but still quickly accessible from the coast. Quiet roads for cycling enthusiasts.

We had a great time! The cottage we stayed in was very comfortable, and recently decorated to a high standard. There was lots to do on site, and the cottages are in a great location a short drive from Hive Beach. Danielle and Jason were both lovely, and extremely helpful. They have big plans for Rudge Farm Cottages, and we looking forward to returning in the future to see some of these realised.

Rooms: We have been going to Rudge farm for many years, however this year we were really impressed. All the cottages have been done up. All beautifully decorated. Our king-size bed in Carter's was super comfy, in fact, I haven't had such a good night's sleep in a while. Towels are provided and everything you need is there. Its very homely and cosy. Nearby activities: Rudge Farm itself has a lot to offer. The barn has been converted into a soft play room, with a lot of things to play with. There is also a games room with a pool table. Woodland walk is great and recommended. There is a small sand pit for the little ones to enjoy and a lake where you are able to fish and go boating. Walkability: There is a lot around Rudge farm, beautiful walks by the lakes and a woodland trail as well. Great place for kids to run around. If you struggle to walk then be prepared for uneven ground. Food & drinks: There is no food and drink on site, however there is a little shop for urgent products. We booked a tesco delivery for the day we arrived and it was delivered straight to our cottage. Lots of lovely pubs close by and restaurants/takeaways too, but not really walking distance. We went at Easter and didn't book tables in advance so struggled to find availability at short notice, so would recommend booking 2-3 days before Noteworthy details: You are in the middle of a farm and countryside, make sure you take comfortable shoes and all weather clothing. When you arrive, make sure to have some food, and milk etc with you. Although some tea and coffee is provided, there is no milk and we needed a cuppa after a long drive.
