Costa Coffee

My partner and I visited this Costa previously on a trip to Bournemouth and it was fine, but on the return trip back home we stopped in again and had a completely different experience. My partners coffee was made in a latte glass that clearly had not been cleaned as there was still lipstick on the glass from a previous customer. I've worked for Costa myself and understand that very occasionally these slip-ups can happen, so I was more than happy to go up and kindly just ask for the drink to be made again but in a different glass. This time the latte that was made had above 2 - 3 inches of foam-- genuinely about a third of the glass. I even pointed this out to the barista working at the machine who just poured some more milk in. I sat back down with my partner anyway trying to make the best of the situation but discovered my flat white wasn't particularly nice either-- it was lukewarm and tasted burnt, as though the grind of the coffee was far too fine. I had decided it was best to simply ask for a refund and go somewhere else. The gentlemen that I dealt with on the tills were perfectly nice and were more than happy to process the refund, it's just a case that I think this Costa was having a bad day, but should really refocus on standard operating practices and cleaning practices.

I'm a regular visitor to Costa as I travel alot for my work. Normally good service but unfortunately this evening the young lady behind the counter looked like she had chewed a thistle that she had just peed on. Come on Costa you can't afford to have customer service like this sort it out.

Ladies working here couldn't be lovelier. They were kind and patient when I ordered with my toddler, and when said toddler subsequently tipped over my coffee onto the table and floor, they cleaned it up for us. We had been travelling for many hours off the back of a stressful family holiday, and I couldn't have been more grateful to them for their kindness.
