Lovely out of season meal here - even one especially for our dog - he was impressed.

Looked a nice place so stopped on the way home, at 2.30 pm we were told they could accommodate us but couldnt offer us a roast dinner, ok we hadnt booked but there were plenty of tables and to be honest we were made to feel like a nuisance rather than the warm welcome the reviews day!! Im sure other people have had a good experience?? We turned left out of the George and came to the clock, a warm welcome with a delicious roast and 6quid cheaper!!

My sisters and I have met here for lunch every three to four months. We all travel a fair way from different directions. The welcome is always friendly and warm, the food is excellent. The menu is not extensive, but every dish we have tried has been well presented and delicious. We have met in a number of different pubs in the area, but once we found the George, that was it. We havent been anywhere else since.
