Extremely good visit, not only is it beautiful inside and out, but due to the previous owners excentricities the collections aren't only your standard stately home trinkets. There are Japanese, Buddhist, and Ancient Egyptian collections, some very impressive pieces too, all down to one man's personal taste, I wonder if he knew it would draw attention in the future. The tea rooms are very good too, don't miss out on the cream tea! Seating indoors and outdoors available in the tearooms. Lots of outdoor space too, either for children to run around, or for a spot of fishing in the lake. Parking on site too, not sure if you have to pay for it as we parked in the village.
