Tried a takeaway Sunday Lunch for the first time, order was ready bang on time. Excellent presentation in custom made containers but only when I got home and transferred it to a plate was it that I realised how well prepared this meal was and the best was yet to come the beef was just perfect, (melt in the mouth) and the potatoes, gravy and vegetables were equally well cooked and so tasty. Pear crumble and custard completed a wonderful Sunday lunch. Superb value for money. No doubt that I will be back again. Lovely pub, very clean and welcoming, nice family run atmosphere, great selection of real ales and different lagers and ciders. A little gem. Thanks Ade, Sharon and team.

We visited the Horse and Jockey @Norwood House on the afternoon of Friday 21 May 2021 They have now reopened for visitors and are serving food and a choice of up to 6 real ales. We had a good drink of Bewdley Brewery William Mucklow strong mild 6% again really impressed. We went for our first meal at Norwood House on Sunday Lunchtime 06 December 2020. The dining room was very spacious and the service polite and helpful. Very impressed with quality of the Chicken and Mushroom soup and the huge portions of fresh food for the mains - no room for a pudding ! Highly recommended as a place to try out . Lovely Three Tuns Stout ! Old review Visit the Horse and Jockey @Norwood House for the first time on Sunday 22 November 2020. The Horse and Jockey , like all the other pubs in England, is closed for indoor customers but it is offering take away meals and drinks at specific times during the week. On a Sunday, for example, they are offering take away meals and drinks between 12:00 and 15:00 BUT DO BE AWARE that you need to PRE BOOK the Sunday lunch by FRIDAY. See the Facebook page for more details of meals and real ales. At present the Horse and Jockey @Norwood House has 3 real ales on and the landlord, Ade, is buying small barrels of real ales so he can sell beer in peak condition. When things get back to normal Ade plans to have 6 real ale ales on like when the Horse and Jockey @ Norwood House first opened in October 2019. Ade kindly gave me a sample of Purple Moose beer to try before I bought a couple of pints to take away for only 2 a pint ! Hope this business can survive lock down 2 and look forward to sampling some more dark real ales there.
