I purchased an Mitsubishi L200 from Simon James. Great and friendly experience from initial on line contact to Simon calling me the next day. Went to see the vehicle the next day. There was no pushy sales techniques at all. I dealt with Simon who I found to be very professional and knowledgeable on the vehicle I was there to see. They arranged for a tow bar to be fitted to the vehicle for me, and offered to help me change my private number plate and have the plate made up for me. They then delivered the vehicle to a local address. I found Simon James cars very professional and a pleasure to deal with. They will go that extra mile to help you.

Super dealership, my second car from them... And my second P/ex. Purchased a Porsche Boxster S 281. James of Simon& James cars, was great, Nothing to much trouble, No hurry No hassle... From Test drive, to collection, kept in the loop, with everything. Can't fault them. No hesitation in recommending them. You won't be disappointed. They don't sell rubbish. Most cars come with an RAC warranty, and guarantee, Mot ect. Once again many thanks James. I'll be back.

Really friendly, much better than BMW Chesterfield whos customer service is really atrocious (avoid them). Unfortunately not a five star due to getting it home and spotting some poor paint repairs (body & alloys) not noticed under internal lighting. 6 months warranty free which gave some piece of mind but the additional 12 month warranty turns out to be breakdown cover. They registered the car in the wrong (my husbands) name, even though I paid the bill and they were told it was me who will be the owner, so not happy about that as changing the name will add another owner to the log book. Car is mechanically sound not been looked after to my standard but not the dealers fault.

I bought a Land Rover Defender 90 XS from Simon James Cars in Chesterfield in June 2022 and the whole experience was absolutely brilliant in every respect. From the handling of my initial enquiry via e-mail, subsequent telephone conversations, sharing of information (I can be quite fastidious!) and the scheduled visit to their extremely impressive showroom on the outskirts of the city, nothing could have been better. I have bought numerous cars of all shapes and sizes over the past 40 years, from franchised dealers, independent specialists and privately too and I can honestly say that my experience with James was second to none. I didnt at any time feel at all pressured into buying the car and I was given plenty of time and privacy, both in the showroom and during the test drive to thoroughly review the car and its extensive paperwork. It was such a pleasant and enjoyable experience, even the price negotiating element too! James is a consummate professional (as is his colleague Simon) and was a delight to deal with at all stages of the communication, evaluation and buying process. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company to others and wish James and Simon continued success for the future, albeit in a recession hit world.
