I went to see Chris on the recommendation of CDA Ltd / Zamberlan UK, as my Zamberlans were haggard and leaking, even after a resole at an independent cobbler local to me (Derby) Its a small operation, and he was working alone. Its a proper characterful workshop, with boots of all kinds neatly arranged for customers to collect, or in need of repair The range of new boots is deliberately limited (following a break-in), but Chris is happy to order in anything you might want His knowledge is second to none, and his willingness to match you with the right product for you is to be commended - hes not out for commission or a quick sale My 19.5yr old boots were beyond economical repair, so I purchased a new pair of Altbergs from Chris, after lengthy chat about my feet and past problems I have had. He even recommended me some tank-proof insoles by a company he stocks Ive yet to wear them in around the house, but I know if theres an issue, Chris will resolve it So impressed by my visit, Ive already recommended his business to a number of friends and acquaintances, and shall share this review in relevant FB groups too

Great communication from Chris and despite making the grave error of using Evri for next day delivery they eventually arrived with Feet First 11 days later! I paid for the express service and my Mammut boots were promptly returned - a superb job having been done on the resole and will no doubt see me through the next 10 years! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.
