A number of mobility scooters and powered wheel chairs available for daily or long term hire for very reasonable rates. Staff very helpful and friendly and go the extra mile to give customers that individual service and satisfaction. Highly recommended business.

Staggeringly excellent service - I hired a field-worthy mobility scooter for a week. Absolutely amazed at the scooter I got, the outstanding service, and the stunningly low cost of 15 per week. Our story... excitement was mounting as our daughter's wedding was finally going to happen - at the 3rd attempt, 2 years late after all the Covid disruptions. We were delighted with the lovely venue - 160 guests with a big marquee in a lovely hilly field, marvellous views of South Yorkshire but a LOT of setting up to do before the wedding. But then I badly broke my ankle and started months on crutches - not allowed to put even a toe on the floor on my bad foot - and it is to be our daughter's wedding! How on earth could I get around such a bumpy grassy field on a significant hill, 200 metres from where we were staying. No way would a wheelchair work on such uneven ground- and crutching would be risky or utterly infeasible. Then, the brainwave - could I get a short-term hire of a mobility scooter. Then LOTS of Googling. Most providers couldn't offer anything designed to cope, and boot scooters wouldn't. Then I found Chesterfield Shopmobility's website. Both times I phoned, they answered quickly and nothing was too much trouble. I was amazed to get such a robust scooter that really has been up to the job (I weigh 100kg). The service has been stunning - Anthony delivered it in a van, and picked it up today, all when promised it must have been over 4 hours of his time just to deliver & collect. He was so considerate, and nothing was too much trouble - he coached me how to use it, and then even accompanied me on my 1st novice bumpy 400 metre round trip from the cottage to the marquee and back. He explained how to overcome the tricky bits, and built my confidence (but not too much). Staggeringly, he had even driven here the previous day (Sunday) to find the very rural venue and to assess which scooter would be most appropriate!! Finally, their charge was a whisker over 50 for the week, including delivery & collection. I only found 2 other sources - each of whom quoted close to 460 - nearly 10 times as much!!! I insisted on making a voluntary donation to Chesterfield Shopmobility - such a deserving cause. Abolutely outstanding in all respects.
