Zombie Uprising

I did Zombie Uprising Coventry. Overall a very fun experience and I will check out some of the other sites in my area over the next year or so. There were a few things that could be improved, and prevented me giving it 5 stars. Positives - Staff were great. 'Boss man' and 'Viking' were our guides and they played the part brilliantly. - Zombies were great, especially 'everyone's favourite B-word' - the Titan! - Equipment, facilities and mission area were all good. - Missions were fun - it was especailly good in the dark. Improvements: - Website is really scarce on details. I received an email 48 hours before the event stating that the event was 100% outside and located on a farm that was 'not suitable for low vehicles'. Being outside did not matter to us - but may to some (especially if you book assuming it is indoors - there would have been no cover if it had rained). Note to those booking Coventry - the mission area has lots of nettles and trip hazrads (although this adds to the experience). - The 'not suitable for low vehicles' almost meant that i could not go - instead i had to drive 40 mintuies out of my way to a friend who drove in their bigger car (the last couple of miles to the event is a very pot-holey road). This info should have been on the website and made available before booking, and not sent 48 hours before attending. - Minor, but no lockers. Could have mentioned this on the website/email. - Very minor but I feel like the night was running on minimum staff - it could have done with a couple of extra zombies. 4 teams of 7 played on the same mission map with 4/5 zombies - this meant that at some points it was very crowded and/or sometimes a long time elapsed without seeing a zombie. Overall it would have 5 stars if the website had a bit more information, or if there had been even just 1 or 2 extra zombies. I would still very much recommend.

Tons of fun had at the lab site (ashton under lyne). Complete objectives as a team while taking down zombie actors with airsoft pellet guns. Great for team building and also scares for the screamier members. You do have to run and hide at times, and sometimes did get knackering, but isn't so physically demanding that it would rule many people out. A portion of time is used on health and safety briefs, to be expected given the nature of the activity All the staff were fantastic, almost always in character, but yet plenty of laughs in the briefings, and the zombie actors vary their behaviour enough to surprise you. I would definitely go again on another site in future
