After reading the many reviews on Royal Primary Care Rectory Road I feel moved to add my own comments. I agree that access to the surgery via the phone system is less than ideal. I feel compelled to point out that the same situation exists at a great many surgeries nation wide these days so it's by no means unique to RPC. That aside it has to be said that reception staff and in particular Karen, are superb. They are friendly, very caring and helpful. Their ability to deal with quite large numbers of aggressive patients is nothing short of admirable. Doctors and nursing staff too, in my experience, have proved to be well on top of their game dealing with large numbers of patients each day and processing what must be a mountain of paperwork that those appointments must generate. All in all I think we are fortunate that the practice has evolved in the way it has and I look forward to many more years of the same outstanding service.

Very very poor. I have a an appointment at a certain time and they give a street address for the surgery. So I go, thankfully I'm able to drive. And I'm told its a phone appointment. Why give a street address for a phone appointment. This has happened a few times. Told them about it and they still send out the same confusing messages. Then they complain when you don't turn up for appointments because you didn't know it was a face to face appointment and when you ring to clarify you can never get through. Very very poor and they aren't interested in improving it :(

I want to just talk about 1 lovely lady by the name of Karen (Ford?) who works as a receptionist at Rectory Road surgery. Karen is always friendly, professional and takes time to really listen to any queries you have, which I'm afraid others don't do. Karen has worked at Rectory Road for many years and has a great rapport with the patients. Karen always goes above and beyond with patients and diserves to be recognised. She is a credit to your team and trust. Thank you Karen, your professionalism and friendliness is really appreciated.
