I joined this choir in 2015 after being brought by a work colleague. I love singing - and have sung in choirs since school in Ireland - but I never really felt comfortable. That changed when I joined the Coop Choir. They're really friendly - we actually have a laugh during rehearsals! We sing a range of musical styles and perform with other community groups and community and professional orchestras. We're a small choir, but we're always happy to welcome new members!

A fantastic 4 voice local choir. I have been singing with them for more than 5 years and have really enjoyed every Fridays nights rehersals not to mention the performances. Will be very sad to leave this year.

A first rate choir I am proud to be a member of. The members are a lovely friendly group of people, dedicated and willing to work hard to get to a high standard. And we have lots of laughter and fun too at our Friday night rehearsals which will resume as soon as allowed. Works vary with two main concerts a year. Usually a concert of lighter music in the summer, last year 2019 we did Karl Jenkins Symphonic Adiemus a really exciting work, and year before that a selection of Broadway songs. The November concert is normally a more classical choral work. The Messiah in November 2019 was highly rated and involved a lot of tough rehearsing but it paid dividends. This November 2020 we hope (corvid situation allowing) to be singing a concert that includes the Mozart Requiem and Haydn Te Deum. New members always welcome and we could particularly do with some more tenors and altos. It is very sad that we cannot do our June concert this year of John Rutter's folk song cycle A Sprig of Thyme and our MD Adam Green's beautiful settings of folk song arrangements Songs of the Isles, but next year ... Keep checking our website for when rehearsals resume if you are interested, or if you would like to come to our concerts.
