Barclays Bank

I work all week Saturday is only time I can go in and not counter service absolute joke . Lloyds over road do so why not here think about time I changed my bank

They put a block on my online banking and telephone banking when I never requested that and left me with no way of getting my money out am classed as vulnerable adult as well. And don't help when the bank is not open till Wednesday as well and have 3 kids to feed and everything

Only bank I've ever been in with two people working and one machine. A queue a mile long and then they won't let you pay money in. Never been in bank like it. Just have a letterbox. No need for a building. Gave one star because you can't put zero.

Very poor and disappointing in all respects. Barclays in Chesterfield is still only open three days a week (August 2021) and even when open, the counters are often closed. Inconsistent, inconvenient and incomprehensible when all other banks in the town appear to be open 5 or 6 days a week. I telephoned Barclays to point out the problems I have encountered and was told it would take 20 minutes (!) to make a formal complaint, so didn't bother. I also visited the branch to speak to a member of staff about the many issues. The response was basically: "Well, we are no worse than anyone else"! Really??? You would be better off putting your money under the mattress than banking at Barclays Chesterfield. I have banked there for 37 years and will be taking my custom elsewhere. It is difficult to rate things like customer service when there isn't any so, like a previous reviewer, I have simply given one star because I can't give zero. Whatever you do, don't open an account here.

Very limited opening hours. It was the only bank in Chesterfield with such restrictions and they are still the same even after all retail has opened up again. No good for people working Monday to Friday at all.
