I have successfully completed two courses with the welding academy and will be going back again. You will get as much out of your time here as you allow yourself to, listen, practice and persevere. The instructors are open books with a wealth of knowledge and experience. It's not just course related help they are prepared to offer, I have certain products I've been making for over 17 years after a short conversation with the instructors I have a few new ideas to improve on what I've been doing. Each time I have left a much better welder than I arrived. Competence breeds confidence.

Had a fantastic time doing my Level 3 and I am very happy with both the outcome and level of guidance provided. I was left on my own to get on with my welds but whenever I needed help - one of the tutors was immideately able to help out and point me towards the right direction. I didn't feel patronised, nor completely left on my own. I appreciate that I was shown two very different ways to achieve the same goal and I was able to develop my very own way based on this. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend it to others with or without previous experience!

Just got back from a day getting my codings in order with Kev at TWA certifications. Kev asked me if I could give an honest opinion of my experience at TWA, well that isn't a problem, to start with on arrival at reception I was greeted with a lovely warm welcome from the ladies at the desk then to follow up with a relaxed tour of the facilities helping put me at ease a little because as with most test situations I get a little nervous like most people do. After taking a seat in the canteen for a short time kev came up and in his professional but calming way described how the day was going to pan out, this helped take away a bit more of the nerves I had then we went downstairs to the bays to start. There was absolutely no pressure to perform fresh out of gate and this helped get comfortable with his set's. Once I was comfortable kev asked if I'd like to try a test piece which given my relaxed attitude at that point I had no problem attempting, bingo a nice weld sample ready for test. That's pretty much how the rest of the day went and thankfully to all at TWA I now have the codings I need. Thanks Guys.

My wife bought me a 2 day welding course for Christmas. There were 6 attendees, one guy on a 1 day starter course like me, the others welders to upskill to various levels. Health and safety was appropriate and PPE provided if you didn't have your own. Admittedly, my welding by the end of day 2 wasn't anything special but I was left mostly on my own with little direction. Most helpful was a guy on an advanced course who spent a couple of minutes with me. It certainly wasn't the one to one course advertised and, although I am now somewhat familiar, having welded several dozen little strips of steel together, I expected tuition and supervision. Was it worth it? I understand basic welding techniques but nothing more. I don't know how much my wife paid for the course but I suspect it was much more that the value I obtained.
