Visited here yesterday lovely atmosphere when you walk in staff are very welcoming. Dinning area was clean and tidy. I had a turkey Yorkshire pudding and it was delicious meat was cooked great and plenty of it, definitely will visit again when Im in Chester

York roast used to be my favourite place so I keep trying it even though it's been disappointing for a while. Today was really terrible. So to start we were given a wrap instead of a Yorkshire pudding meal. Then the portion size of the correct meal (turkey roast dinner) was terrible, 3 little potatoes and the tiniest scrap of very hard and incredibly dry turkey. The beans were somewhere between hard plastic and leather and totally inedible. It was all cold, I tried to eat the accidental wrap I was given as I was starving but it was awful, basically just a dry stuffing wrap with the occasional leathery bean, cold carrots and scrap of beef. Neither meal got eaten last a couple of bites which is such a shame and a waste. I miss getting a roast that was tasty and fulfilling - this will definitely be the last time I try again though, I am too disappointed.

Having witnessed the tasty looking abundance of red meat languishing in the window I was more than excited to visit this establishment. However York Roast ensured this was short lived. After settling on a selection of pork, beef and pork scratchings costing 9 I was handed a half filled box the size normally reserved for a Pandora bracelet. I was understandably more than disappointed. When I genuinely asked if I could have more meat I was politely informed they were not allowed due to the meat being weighed. All I can say is that the pig and cow this was taken from are presumably still living a happy life completely unaware that York Roast have removed 9 worth of food from them. The portion was so small I could have justifiably become a vegetarian. Congratulations to York Roast for their work towards animal conservation but if I wanted to personally donate Id adopt a dolphin.
