Great service, they didnt have the jacket I wanted so Jules the store manager arranged to get samples sent into store for me to try. These arrived promtly with a call from store to inform me. Went in tried and purchased. Good old fashioned service with a smile and banter. Certainly suggest you try them for your outdoor clothing.

I'm puzzled why the most recent reviewer went away with this impression...I've been to this shop on and off for many years and always had a great experience - the staff are really friendly, helpful and up for a laugh if you are...maybe therein lies the problem! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Went to look at wellingtons, and looking for a change from brands I had been wearing. The "help" was patronising and pretentious from the outset. Out of curiosity I wanted to try a particular pair of Hunter's, at this point the staff member simply laughed and turned her back before retrieving her cup of tea and stating "she" didn't stock Hunter as "they are too heavy" before proclaiming all her customers were "country and sporting people". Clearly being raised on a Cheshire dairy farm, owning two working spaniels and enjoying shooting isn't country or sporting enough. There was plenty said in the few minutes I was willing to endure her poor attitude, none of which was helpful. Such a change from the ptarmigan days.
