Great choice in real ales, and the food is lovely.
A very very large beer garden to move around in.
Super easy to access; close to chester to far away enough to be out of the hustle - set back from the road and right on the canal - just idyllic.
I guess the internet was intermittent which was slightly annoying at times, but it was rare and tbh, most people staying there wouldn't be using it all day! ha.
A really great place.

The location was wonderful, right next to the Shropshire Union Canal.
On the day of my departure, I had to leave before breakfast to catch a flight, so I asked the server at breakfast the day before if it would be possible to have a croissant and jam to eat next day. Later in the day a paper bag was left in my room containing the requested food in a plastic container, plus an apple, an orange, a banana, a bottle of water, a bottle of fruit juice, and a pot of fruit jelly. Far more than I had asked for and I was impressed and very grateful!
I wish I had known long ago that the Cheshire Cat had B&B. Now I know where to stay next time I'm in Chester.
