The ZipYard

I've used The Zip Yard Chester a few times now. They just replaced the worn out pockets in a a pair of trousers and did an excellent job at a reasonable price.

Decent repair and friendly but was initially quoted 45 after they inspected the garment then was told it would be another 30 a week later. So 75 to replace a jacket zip.

Took a jacket to be altered and dress to be dry cleaned. Alteration to the jacket is ok. However, sleeves were not shortened despite asking and showing where I would like them to sit on my arms. Cost me 50 which was overpriced for what was needed. Had awful service with dry cleaning. Took nearly 3 weeks to be returned. Was taken to the Manchester store and left there with no urgency to return to me, despite having to call and ask multiple times when it would be returned. Dress hasn't been properly cleaned. Very disappointing, would not recommend. Service: Alterations

Used this place about 4 times for repairs to Jeans for basically the same repair I tend to have my clothes repaired rather than buy new ..a trend which is increasing I think . The Staff are really polite and helpful .The quality of the repairs are excellent but the pricing structure of the repairs are really inconsistent for basically the same repair ..the last repair I had done this week cost nearly double the last repair I tried to bargain with the owner /manager about the price hike her reply was more work was needed which was not the case ..I did not pay until I picked up the garment however I could not bargain the price down ...shame because the repair quality is consistent but the owner / manager doesn't seem to get the idea of repeat business and keeping hold of customers ... perhaps because it is a city centre business with potentially limitless clientele I don't know ... I'll go elsewhere from now on..... excellent
